Terroir Cognac Réviseur carries the attributes that have made its cru of Petite Champagne famous: depth, body and aromatic richness. The estate spreads over 222 acres in the heart of the Petite Champagne region.
-
Vinification and maturation Deep east – west oriented soils produce rich aromatic grapes. Distillation in small stills (1600 liters per batch) combined with ageing in dry cellars, allow blending of full-bodied cognacs which soon express the potential of this “terroir”: a concentrate of aromas.
-
Features Nose: the initial nose has a delicate smell of rancio, with a complex ripe fruit and liquorice. Aromas in between delicious red fruits, wood and shed leaves, even some notes of roasted coffee result a joyful harmony. The taste: Some liquorice, toffee, candied fruit and cedar wood flavours show up. The amazing roundness, breadth, softness are well balanced with persistent woody notes throughout the long finish...a pleasing experience!
