  • Terroir
The estate Poggio al Tufo, whose name literally means volcanic rock hill, was bought by the Tommasi family in 1997. The 66-hectare vineyard is located in the south-west of Tuscany, in a region called Maremma Tuscany. The vineyard of Rompicollo is densely planted because it benefits from both its full exposure to the south and the rich volcanic soil.

  • Vinification and maturation
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 10 days. Aging of 12 months in oak barrels of Slavonia.

  • Features
On the nose, intense bouquet of black berries, spices and licorice. Well balanced, it has a nice structure in the mouth with a pleasant fruity finish.

  • Food Pairings
Ideal for Italian pasta with tomato sauce with meat, white meats and fresh cheeses.
