Terroir The estate Poggio al Tufo, whose name literally means volcanic rock hill, was bought by the Tommasi family in 1997. The 66-hectare vineyard is located in the south-west of Tuscany, in a region called Maremma Tuscany. The vineyard of Rompicollo is densely planted because it benefits from both its full exposure to the south and the rich volcanic soil.

Vinification and maturation Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 10 days. Aging of 12 months in oak barrels of Slavonia.

Features On the nose, intense bouquet of black berries, spices and licorice. Well balanced, it has a nice structure in the mouth with a pleasant fruity finish.
