Grapes selected from 10 to 20 years-old vines from the long-standing suppliers in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa subzones. Sloped plots of calcareous-clay soils with good drainage and sun exposure.
Vinification and maturation
Wine making and fermentation are carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 28 and 30 °C. The maceration lasts 15 days with continuous pumping to extract the maximum of color. The aging continues in oak barrels for 12 months, followed by refinement in the bottle.
Intense red cherry colour. Aromas of red fruits, strawberry, raspberry and cranberry framed by fine nuances of vanilla and toffee. Silky and structured on the palate, it has a long lasting and satisfying finish.
A perfect wine by the glass. Very versatile and apt to combine with grilled red meat.
