Terroir Domaine des Terres Dorées is located south of Beaujolais, in an area called "Pays des Pierres Dorées", due to the presence of limestone in the region. The relief is hilly and its soil consists of clay-limestone sediments, colored yellow-ocher and friable.Jean-Paul Brun is now the owner of 39 hectares.
-
Vinification and maturation Grapes of the Domaine des Terres Dorées reach maturity with almost no intervention. They are manually harvested at full maturity and ferment from their own yeast found in the soil. The wine is then vinified in barrels with stirring of the lees following the bourguignon method. It is either slightly chaptalized or not at all and the So2 is used very moderately.
-
Features This wine has understated hints of oak, complex, generous with great finesse. Aroma of hazelnuts and butter. The mouth is fresh and fleshy with a lovely mineral flavours. It is the expression of a great Côte de Beaune wine.
-
Food Pairings This wine should be decanted when young. It is ideal with fish, white meats, and goat cheeses.
