Terroir Located in the heart of Speyside, Scotland’s whisky capital, this single malt whisky has been distilled on the banks of the River Lossie since 1897, just outside Elgin, one of Scotland’s oldest towns. Through the boom times of late 19th Century and enduring two World Wars, the consistency and care taken to produce the spirit has ensured Glen Moray has always remained one of the most highly-regarded Speyside single malts.
-
Vinification and maturation Aged in the finest American oak, there’s a hint of toastiness to this elegant malt, a wonderfully balanced whisky with a subtle sweetness. A sublime marriage of summer fruits and mellow vanilla, it’s intended to be savoured and enjoyed.
-
Features Mid-golden colour. On the nose, at full strenght, the aroma is sweet, fruity and floral, exceptionally well-rounded and balanced flavour, characteristic of this Speyside single malt. Notes of vanilla toffee, berry fruits and freshly-cut herbs are also noted. The taste is smooth, warming and rounded with a good firm body. Lots of sweet, soft malty flavours evolve in the center of the palate, surrounded by toffee and mouth watering fruits. Its finish is sweet with a subtle oak finish. Toffee, blackcurrants and a hint of liquorice remains into the finish which is medium in length.
-
Food Pairings Well paired with honey drizzled on fresh baked crusty bread.
