  • Terroir
Gaïa Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence cuvée is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes hailing from the western part of the Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, where the soil is a mix of clay, sand, and limestone.

The growing methods used embrace the principles of agro-ecology: preservation and development of biodiversity, control over and reduction of the use of fertilizers and plant protection products, water management, and choice of plant material suited to the area’s environment.
  • Vinification and maturation
The grapes are mostly harvested in the morning and are then destemmed. The grapes are pressed directly to avoid skin contact. Vinification is conducted in stainless steel vats and fermentations take place at low temperatures to preserve the wines’ aromatic freshness.

Aged in concrete/stainless steel tanks on fine lees for 3 months to enhance this wine’s fruit and texture, gently stirred-up.
  • Features
Pale rose in color, this cool climate rosé from Provence opens with hints of white flowers, light minerality, peach and melon on the nose. On the palate, initial notes of delicate minerality lead to notes of sun-kissed strawberry and a hint of watermelon.
  • Other information
    Residaul sugar: 1.9 g/L

With Gaïa range, Fortant goes again to the discovery of Mediterranean terroirs to create the first organic vintages dedicated to vegetable cooking.
