  • Terroir
The domaine du Vieux Lazaret is located at the foothill of Mont-Ventoux. This terroir has 14ha and is a real patchwork of sand, clay and gravel.
  • Vinification and maturation
Maceration lasts 21 days during which the pumping-over of the must is done twice a day. Then the ageing process continues for 20 months in concrete vats. 45% of the blend will age in Bourguignon barrels for 14 months after which the wine is bottled at the domain.
  • Features
Deep intense ruby color robe. The nose is expressive with red berries (Morello cherry and raspberry), toasted wood, caramel and a hint of spices and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied with a fine long finish. The tannins are present, high but well blended.
  • Food Pairings
This wine is perfect with truffle dishes, wild mushrooms or wild game.

  • Other information
The Exceptional Vintage is the result of a careful selection performed by Jérôme Quiot, from twenty barrels of the Domaine, set aside to mature and bottle in a special way. According to the vintage, this could be a blend of various selected barrels.
