  • Terroir
The grapes are sourced from Malmesbury and Wellington.
  • Vinification and maturation
A fraction of the wine was fermented with naturally occurring yeasts, while selected Rhône yeast strains were used for the rest. After maceration, the wine was pressed and transferred to oak barrels for nine months, with a portion of the wine being micro-oxygenated. The wine was bottled after blending.
  • Features
Deep red-violet. The powerful nose features notes of smoke, pepper and blackberry. In the mouth, the wine displays great freshness, supple tannins and well-integrated oak. The silky texture lasts well into the long finish.
  • Food Pairings
Perfect with firm cheeses, braised rabbit and beef in wine sauce.
  • Medals / Press reviews
GOLD, Decanter 2015 WWA & 89 pts David Lawrason
