Château de La Rivière is the largest property in Fronsac with nearly 100 hectares of land and 65 hectares of vines, producing AOC Fronsac wines. It dominates the valley of the Dordogne, (with a very favorable natural climate regulation) and the eponymous river below. The clay-limestone terroir is dominant with two types: vines located on the limestone plateau and others on the coast, facing south, on molasse soils. The Château de La Rivière is home to limestone quarries on an area of 8 hectares, ideal for raising wine in barrels and preserving bottles.
